About Road Trip Bingo
Short
Road Trip Bingo is the classic car-window spotting game, redrawn for iPhone and iPad. Pick a region, watch the world outside, and slide the green shutters closed as you spot each sight.
Long
Road Trip Bingo is a modern take on the travel bingo cards families played in the back seat, the ones with little plastic shutters you slid across each picture. Players pick a region and a board, then watch for barns, bridges, water towers, animals, signs and roadside landmarks. Tap a sight when you spot it and a translucent green shutter slides closed. Complete a row and call Bingo.
There are two boards: Kids, a 4×4 card of easy-to-spot sights, and All Ages, a 5×5 card with a wider range of things to find. Six regional boards cover the Midwest, West, Southwest, South and Northeast, plus Around Town for everyday drives. With Play Together, one person starts a game and everyone else in the car joins on their own device with a card of their own. There’s no timer and no score to beat.
About Pine & Dandy Studio
Pine & Dandy Studio is a small independent game studio based in Colorado. It creates thoughtful games inspired by classic play, for curious minds and good company. Road Trip Bingo is its first game. The idea came on a long cross-country drive, from the founder’s memory of playing shutter bingo cards as a kid. The founder has spent more than ten years working in children’s development programs, and the studio builds games for shared moments between kids, families and friends.
